This week’s choice for Track of the week is an absolute hard rock masterpiece of a track courtesy of Orlando, Florida’s Felicity. If you like If you like killer guitar riffs, metalcore as hell breakdowns and an intense pop punk chorus then oh boy, have we found the track for you.

Circles is a standalone single and was released towards the end of 2017 with the music video coming a couple of weeks later in January this year. The track shows a new side to Felicity and shows the band take a heavier departure from their usual pop-punk roots.

Circles was produced by Andrew Wade (A Day to Remember, Neck Deep, Wage War, Motionless in White) and the production on display is simply staggering. Although the band may have their origins in pop-punk, Circles effortlessly shows how the band can adapt and tailor their sound to a heavier style with amazing results.

Speaking to New Noise the bands guitarist Andrew said of the bands heavier direction, “We wanted to write a couple heavier songs on the new record. We all grew up listening to heavy music and its very near and dear to our hearts. While we are considered a pop punk band we always want to show our diversity and write a few songs to get you in the mosh pit!”. After listening to Circles I think we can all agree the band have done this with flying colours.

Circles strays away from the bands pop punk heritage and instead showcases intricate guitar riffs, blistering drum work and new and improved scream and clean vocals. Currently the band are hard at work on new music which is due for a 2018 release and this new heavier direction has us frothing at the mouth for more.

Circles is a great way for the band to introduce their new heavier sounding style and shows the band for the metalcore monster they really are. Hell even metalcore legends such as Bullet For My Valentine must love the track with Over It’s riff borrowing from Circles.
